Result Notes: Open vs Closed Widget
Overview
The Result Notes: Open vs Closed widget provides an overview of result notes that may still require attention, organised by the date the associated task result was entered. It offers flexible filtering options to tailor the data to your specific needs, making it a powerful tool for monitoring remedial action progress over time.
What the Widget Shows
The widget displays a bar chart showing the ratio of open to closed result notes over your selected time period. This helps you quickly identify periods where notes are accumulating without being closed, which may indicate delays in remedial action or feedback.
Using the Widget to Tell a Story
The widget is most powerful when used alongside the Work Status and Result Compliance widgets. As shown in the example dashboard:
Widget | What It Shows |
Work Status | Scheduled events over the selected period |
Result Compliance | Task results entered, including compliance status (Green, Amber, Red) |
Result Notes: Open vs Closed | Notes added against those results, and whether they are currently open or closed |
Together, these three widgets create a complete picture — from scheduled work, through results entered, to the current status of any notes raised.

Note: The date range field is mandatory. The default is set to 4 weeks, but this can be adjusted to months or days as needed.
Things to Keep in Mind
Organised by result date — notes are grouped by when the associated task result was entered, not when the note itself was created.
Use alongside Work Status and Result Compliance — pairing these three widgets gives a full end-to-end view of scheduled work, compliance outcomes, and note management.
Display as Percentages is enabled by default — toggle this off if you prefer to see raw counts rather than percentage breakdowns.
