Channel and Sub-Channel Filtering in ZetaSafe Widgets
Overview
For widgets that support client filtering, an additional Channel filter is available. This allows you to pre-select a specific channel or sub-channel to narrow down the clients displayed in the widget, giving you a more focused view of the data relevant to your needs.
How the Channel Filter Works
Channel Filter Setting | Result |
Left blank | Displays all clients within the currently active channel and all of its sub-channels |
Specific channel selected | Limits the client list to only those within the selected channel — sub-channels within that selection are not included |
⚠️ Important: Channel selection is not recursive. Selecting a channel will only show clients directly within that channel — it will not include clients from any of its sub-channels. If you need to include sub-channel clients, leave the channel filter blank or select each relevant channel individually.
Filter Dependency Order
As shown in the widget configuration screen, filters are applied in sequence. Each field requires the previous one to be completed before it becomes available:
Channel — select first to unlock the Client field
Client — select to unlock the Compliance Scheme field
Compliance Scheme — select to unlock the Asset Type field
Asset Type — available once a Compliance Scheme is selected
Things to Keep in Mind
Leaving Channel blank gives the broadest view — use this when you want to see data across all clients in your channel hierarchy without restriction.
Selecting a specific channel narrows the scope — use this when you need to isolate data for a particular channel without including its sub-channels.
Filter dependencies are sequential — you cannot select a Client without first selecting a Channel, and so on down the chain.
