Creating Multiple Copies of Widgets

Overview
If you need multiple versions of a widget with minor configuration differences, or the same widget across several dashboard tabs, ZetaSafe allows you to quickly duplicate widgets using the widget mini-menu. This avoids the need to rebuild widgets from scratch each time.
Copying an Existing Widget
Each widget has a mini-menu accessible from the chevron (â¨) icon in the widget header. Two options are available for copying:
Option | Description |
Create Copy | Duplicates the widget on the current dashboard tab |
Copy to Another Tab | Copies the widget to a different tab on the same dashboard |
Steps to Copy a Widget
Locate the widget you wish to copy on your dashboard.
Click the ⨠icon in the widget header to open the mini-menu.
Select either Create Copy or Copy to Another Tab depending on your needs.
If copying to another tab, select the destination tab when prompted.
The copied widget will appear with the same configuration as the original â edit as needed.
Creating Multiple Copies When Adding a New Widget
When adding a new widget to a dashboard tab, you can also create multiple copies at the point of configuration. The widget configuration screen includes a Create Copy toggle â setting this to Yes will duplicate the widget on the current tab once saved.
Things to Keep in Mind
Copies are independent â editing one copy of a widget does not affect any other copies. Each can be configured separately after duplication.
Use copies for minor variations â for example, copying a Result Compliance widget and adjusting the date range or compliance scheme on each copy is faster than creating multiple widgets from scratch.
Copies to another tab retain the same configuration â review and update the settings on the copied widget if the new tab requires different filters or display options.
