Amending Default Search Areas in ZetaSafe
Overview
The main search box in the ZetaSafe header uses a set of default search areas (such as Channels, Clients, Locations, and Assets) each time a new search is initiated. These defaults can be customised per user role to ensure searches return the most relevant results quickly.
Before You Begin
You will need appropriate permissions to edit user profiles or access User Management.
Default search areas are configured per role, not per individual user.
How to Amend Default Search Areas
Via User Management
Navigate to User Management in ZetaSafe.
Locate and select the user you wish to edit.
Click Edit next to the relevant role.
In the Change User Role dialog, update the Default Search Areas as required.
Click Submit to save your changes.
The Change User Role Dialog
When editing a role, the Default Search Areas field displays the currently active search areas as tags (e.g. Channels, Clients, Locations, Assets). You can:
Remove an area by clicking the × on its tag.
Use the ALL button to select all available search areas.
Use the NONE button to clear all selected areas.
Use the INVERSE button to flip the current selection.
These settings are applied each time a new search is initiated from the main search box in the ZetaSafe header.
Temporary Search Area Changes
You can temporarily adjust search areas from the Search Results screen without affecting your defaults:
Any changes made on the Search Results screen apply only to searches run from that page.
Once a new search is performed from the main search field, the default search areas are automatically restored.
